What is Humanistic Christianity?
The concept of Humanistic Christianity is embracing the culture (music, art, literature, architecture, tradition, festivals etc) without belief in a deity or the supernatural.
It is a vision for a kind of spiritual renewal, or ‘revival’, if you like, in the form of healthy, compassion-based community – a secular, agnostic, humanist or even atheist revision of traditional Christianity, taking inspiration from many sources including a Celtic style of non-hierarchical, non-authoritarian model of community and inspired by other cultural ex-religious communities such as Rational Paganism and Humanistic Judaism, which has a rich, long history of secular membership.
