Humanistic Christianity affirms the worth and dignity of every human, that all should be afforded full rights and equalities, including equal marriage.
For the purposes of Humanistic Christian meetings and groups, we are fully affirming; that is to say, you are fully welcomed, not just tolerated.
We make no distinction between orientation and practising homosexuality.
We completely reject the idea that being Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Ace, Intersex, Non-Binary, Queer or Gender Fluid is a sin. Cis-het-normativity is not the ideal, it is just one possible expression of a complicated spectrum of gender and sexuality.
We object to the medical interference of non-consenting Intersex children, and support campaigns to incorporate their rights to bodily autonomy into law.
We support appropriate, informed medical care and support for Trans children. We do not support attempts to force cis-normativity on Trans children, nor het-normativity or any kind of conversion ‘therapy’ on LGBTQ+ children or adults.
For clarity, attraction to children is not and never can be included within the LGBT+ spectrum, since sexual matters can only ever legitimately apply to consenting adults.
